Right now the best thing about Toronto is the Ossington strip. The number of restaurants on the strip has reached such a significant critical mass that each succeeding resto to open attracts more of their kind. Which attracts more people.
This strip of street has become a mainstay for shopping, food, and drinking since some intense gentrification made it over. Part of Trinity- Bellwoods, this street has become a destination in its own right. We recommend cold brew and avo toast.
Had the tasting menu with 2 friends and we were all enchanted by the beauty and creativity of each plate that came out of the kitchen. The wagyu beef, Tapioca chips with caviar, jambalaya, gossamer thin sea bass with Israeli couscous and fennel vinaigrette, Keylime pie were our favorites. This is a restaurant filled to the brim with creativity and the service is professional and friendly, but not in your face.
Soos is one of the many fabulous restaurants on the Ossington strip. They serve Malaysian street food. The food was great.
Toronto, known by many as the City of Neighbourhoods. This top tourist destination is famous for its diversity, culture, international dining and a collaboration of historical and modern architecture. What makes Toronto so unique are its small counterparts that add up to one big melting pot of diversity.
The food takes traditional Korean flavours and puts a creative spin on popular North American comfort foods. The house cocktails and desserts are tea inspired. Our days off service are dedicated to making the foods that require a full day of preparation.
Please refresh the page and retry. O nce Toronto stopped trying to be New York, everything clicked. Gone was the one-upmanship, the garish interiors, the needless haughtiness, overpricing, fusion for the sake of it.
As usual Mamakas does not disappoint! The food, drinks, service and ambience are just utterly delightful. The food was mouthwatering: from the homemade dips, piping hot pitas to refreshing watermelon salad to the incredible lamp chops for my husband and grilled octopus for me
